The process begins with a consultative meeting to discuss and determine the scope of your project. We’ll visit the proposed site of your project to get a feel for your vision and what type of design you’re looking for, then we’ll put together a proposal that includes all of the foreseeable details of the project. This estimate is just a proposal – it won’t become a contract until you sign.

We will send your estimate to your email so that you can read it carefully before fully committing. It will include all of the proposed details for your project with their respective costs and project timeline. For your convenience, you can digitally sign the agreement using your phone, tablet or computer. You may also ask questions and/or request changes to the proposed design prior to signing the agreement.

Once you’ve approved the design we’ve created for your project, it will be carefully reviewed by a structural engineer to ensure its safety and efficacy. Then we’ll submit the plans to the county permitting office as well as your HOA (if applicable) for approval. Once we receive all necessary approvals and permits, we’ll prepare for project commencement. From here and throughout the process, we’ll keep you updated on our progress.

During the construction process, you may see a few different crews come and go. While we do most of the work within our core crew, there may be parts of the project that require additional trades to come in and perform certain tasks (such as electrical or plumbing). As stated above, we will keep you in the loop on the current status of your project, so you will be aware of these trade crews before they show up at your home.

Once we’ve concluded construction, an inspector from the county building department will perform a final inspection of the project for safety and quality. In the meantime, we will be sure to clean up the work area, removing all debris and traces of our presence before departing. We’ll walk you through the completed project to ensure your total delight with the outcome, and we’ll show you how to work any appliances or features (such as outdoor kitchen equipment) before we go.

Finally, we’ll leave you with all of your warranty paperwork as well as our contact information in case you need anything from us going forward. Now, you get to enjoy your new outdoor space!
